I am a proud member of clickinmoms (go join! and our photography challenge this week was "Addiction". Each week the challenge is one word, and we have all week to interpret that word. My first thought when it came to addiction was not MY addiction (Starbucks Mocha Frappucino no whip and blueberry coffee cake) but it was the way that addiction has affected me. I lost my dad, the greatest dad and man on earth to addiction. I'll never forget the day I got the call that he was no longer with us. I remember driving there way over the speedlimit, praying to God, and just thinking it was all just a dream and I would wake up soon. I am proud to say that the last thing I told him on the phone was that I loved him...and anyone who knows me knows that it isn't something I say often. I just had a feeling all week that this was going to happen. He was a wonderful person, and not a day goes by that I don't cry for him.
Here is my photo.

OMG... THIS is amazing. After you told me you did this last night, I went back to my twenties blog and put a brief two sentences in it about Al. I didn't at first, because I didn't want to upset you when you read it, but it was just to significant not to put it in there.
I miss him so much and I love YOU!

Carrie you have such a talent for photography! That picture has so much meaning and feel to it...idk how to put words to it. We all miss Al so much.

Carrie, your daddy was not only my big brother, but through the years, all 48 of them I spent with him, he was also one of my best friends. He had such an impact on every life he touched, that we are all forever changed because of him. I love him more than I can put into words and you are a great example of his life. I love you, Linda
